Sarah Schrock, MLA
Sarah Schrock holds a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon where she earned honors for her graduate work in regenerative design. She also holds a B.S. in Conservation Science and Ecology from the University of Washington College of Forest Resources. Sarah is a returned Peace Corps volunteer from Kenya where she assisted rural farmers access sustainable firewood. With over 10 year experience in the fields of conservation science and environmental planning, Sarah started Altitude Design after four years as a permitting and planning associate at a regional planning firm.
Sarah combines her biological and technical knowledge of the environment with the classical disciplines of architecture and design to offer clients a unique approach to design, creating spaces that respond to people and their ecosystems. Sarah can offer services to any development project, large or small, whether its permitting requirements for a commercial development or a new vegetable garden. Sarah can also provide architectural rendering and graphic design for project promotions.
Sarah works from her home office when she's not busy in her garden or running after her two young boys, aged 4 and 6 months. She is an avid recreationist who enjoys quality time outdoors hiking, skiing, swimming, running, and cycling with her dog Moshi. Her artwork includes watercolors and collage.
Whether you are building your dream home and garden or navigating the environmental permitting requirements of a commercial development, Altitude Design provides ecologically informed landscape design, planning, and consulting services for clients in the Methow Valley and beyond. At Altitude Design, conservation science and ecological principles are integrated with classical design to create outdoor spaces that inspire people and place.
Altitude Design is female-owned and operated right here in Twisp, Wa. My services are professional and specifically catered to all Methow residents from do-it-yourself types to working with builders and contractors.
